They have made it to 27 days old and are eating like there is 27 of them rather than the 12 there actually is.
Poor Daphne has spent the last few days on permanent guard duty thanks to some of the local crows, not been a fan since Hitchcock made the birds.
Midweek, a crow landed in the quad for cover and safety having bounced off a window, as others, sensing an easy target to bully, spent their time circling above screeching.
At one point calamitous crow came out from the undergrowth whilst the babies were eating and Daphne saw Red ( well, Black ) and unleashed her very own version of TaeKwonDuck on him sending him scurrying back into the undergrowth. For the next few days there were 10 to 15 crows constantly circling above the quad with Daphne below, barely blinking, for fear she would lose sight of one and be caught by surprise.
As of Sunday night, calamitous crow is still in the quad, he is slowly recovering and is starting to fly again but needs to build his strength up a little more and stay away from Daphne.
Podgy Pidge is looking so svelte due to the lack of leftovers that weightwatchers are rumoured to be making him slimmer of the year
but he continues to wander the quad in the vain hope of happening across a tray of food that the ducklings have missed.
